The Commuter

Liam Neeson who always seems to be the go to guy in this kind of movie stars as just a regular guy who commutes by train back and forth to work each day. It is something he has been doing for years. But now ex policeman turned insurance salesman Michael McCauley is on his way home trying to come to terms that he has just lost his job. While pondering over his dilemma he is approached out of the blue by a mysterious stranger who asks him if he is prepared to carry out a task in return for money. He is asked to locate a certain passenger onboard his train or face grave consequences. Wondering if this is just a sick joke or indeed a serious situation. Michael finds himself in a race against time to find the passenger before the train’s last stop or risk endangering his family. He has to go through a process of elimination to determine who the passenger is and why they need the person off the train so the entire time you are wondering why this person is so important. The film is full of action as you would expect and the story line makes the movie full of action and suspense. The bottom line is if you enjoy Liam Neeson movies such as Taken and Non-Stop then you are going to love this one.

The DVD has no special features. The main movie runs for 107 minutes and is rated PG13 for language and violence. The Commuter is now available through Empire Home Entertainment.
